This course explores the principles and practices of assessment and evaluation in educational settings. Participants will examine traditional and alternative assessment methods, understand the importance of aligning assessments with learning objectives, and discover strategies to enhance student learning through effective feedback. The course integrates key concepts from "Teacher-Made Assessment" (2015), "Alternative Assessment in Higher Education" (2022), and "Language Assessment: Principles and Classroom Practices" (2019). Students are required to examine and evaluate various assessment tools and samples and develop assessment tools for English language skills using various methods and strategies.
